Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
EazyFi Vault is built so we cannot read what you store inside your vault. This policy explains what we do see, what we store, and how we use it.
What you store in your vault
Vault entries (bank details, insurance, property papers, contacts, and similar information) are encrypted in your browser before they are saved. We only receive and store encrypted data — ciphertext — not the readable content.
Your vault key is chosen by you and used only on your device to lock and unlock entries. We do not receive your vault key and cannot open or read your vault on your behalf.
Account information
To create and access an account, we collect:
- Your email address
- A password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), or sign-in via Google if you choose that option
- Basic session and security data needed to keep you logged in and protect against abuse
Your account password is separate from your vault key. Resetting your account password does not recover a lost vault key.
Family access
If you invite someone for family access, we store the contact details and access settings you provide (such as name, email or phone, access code, and timing rules). When a family member requests access, we send notifications to you by email and, if configured, WhatsApp — so you can allow, deny, or let your configured rules apply.
Family members use the vault key you share with them separately. We never see that key.
Storage options
You may store an encrypted copy on EazyFi cloud, keep an encrypted backup file yourself, or use both. In every case, the readable content stays encrypted unless unlocked on a device with the vault key. See our Security FAQ for plain-language answers.
How we use information
We use account and operational data to:
- Provide, secure, and improve the service
- Send account, security, and family-access notifications you expect from the product
- Respond to support requests
- Meet legal obligations where applicable
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use infrastructure and communication providers (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, and optional WhatsApp messaging) to run the service. They process data on our instructions and only as needed to operate EazyFi Vault.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and encrypted vault data while your account is active. You may request account deletion via our contact form; encrypted vault blobs and related account data will be removed in line with our operational processes.
If you lose your vault key, we cannot restore your entries — by design.
Security
Vault encryption uses industry-standard methods in the browser (including AES-GCM and key derivation from your vault key). We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect account data and encrypted vault blobs in transit and at rest.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
